Thanks for your comments Wrong :-) . I tried with the title, to make some fun of the subject. As some people might take this article too personal. Also, refers to people who is afraid of asking something (more afraid of what others might think than of losing the knowledge they could earn).

You are right. In the second part the article is about How to solve this learning problem, i guess its a bit related to the title.

Now on your personal experience. I have to say i thought the same way, during tests, they were a personal challenge that if i couldn't overcome it, i deserved bad grades and cheating was dis-honor for me. Well, "normal" people don't take physics and/or math as carreer :-P .

But now thinking about jobs, "taking the potatoe home" and competence to mantain/get a job position. Makes asking fool questions or even cheating a bit an option to improve fast in what we do.

Think of it as laboral adaptation.

Note: If your teacher solves your homework then he's a bad teacher...

I'd like to read what you think about it.

Judging by the title, I thought you cited your personal experience in order to show how you should've asked foolish questions to overcome a challenge. Unexpectedly for me, you didn't mention it; but only referred to the lack of adaptation and creation of mental structures. "Where did the original idea of foolish questions go?" - I thought to myself, as I finished reading this entry.

I have to say I was enticed by the main title and the paragraphs under the title "Ejemplo"; and the reason is explained by the following personal experience.

Back in math school, I'd "help" other students, for instance: Faustino and Nathanael (aka "Nata"), with their assignments. When they couldn't solve something, they'd come to me for help on some subjects I could help them in.

Some people even asked the teacher himself or other teachers for help; which back in the day I thought was ridiculous: the teacher gives some homework for YOU to try to solve, so what do you do? ask HIM to solve it instead (ok, let's say "help you solve it" if you will, but they'd still try to get as much help from him as they could, having him solve the homework if possible).

The people I helped ended up graduating, I didn't. They shamelessly asked for help, I didn't. Moral of the story? I was hoping this article would talk about it. I believe it kinda did, although it digressed into mental structures.

It seemed to me liked you missed a really important point to mentioned when you explained what'd happened in your personal experience.

It's yet not clear to me though, to what extent we coincide in this matter.

Greetings.
